As a continuation from the 10¢ project, these Nike Air Jordan 1s are made from recycled plastic bags as well as recycled billboard vinyl.

Using traditional shoe making techniques, these shoes were made to explore whether these recycled materials could be used as alternatives to materials normally used in shoes. The use of the billboard vinyl was introduced after the plastic material proved too weak when lasting the shoe. The billboard vinyl was another recycled material that had more stretch and could be used to strengthen the shoe. The inner lining is comprised of recycled khaki pants and jacket leather. The outsoles used are a margom inspired cupsole.
